1. Fry cinnamon stick, cumin seeds and onions till lightly browned. 

2. Add ginger, garlic, spices and tomato paste and mix well.

3. Add in chopped tomatoes cook till they start to soften and blend with the spice mixture. 

4. Stir in canned kidney beans, season with salt and add water. Let it simmer for a few minutes.

5. Garnish with fresh cilantro leaves and serve warm over rice.
