I had some parantha stuffed with spicy ground meat at a local Indian/Pakistani restaurant here in San Francisco, California, USA. It was so delicious I tried to make it at home, but could never come close. Your recipe looks so delicious I will try again. Thanks for the inspiration and best wishes for 2007!

Hi
I liked your receipes...I love cooking and trying new receipes. I was wondering if you have some receipes using cottage cheese (the american version and not paneer). I am looking for something spicy indian. Thanks, Radhika

Hi Radhika! To be honest, I haven't as yet ever tried the "American cottage cheese". The main reason being, I often read about it as being used in stuffed pasta dishes, which I am not too fond of. I do plan on trying it out definitely, just waiting for the inspiration to create something to my liking! Hope you keep watch, one may never know when I get inspired!

Wow, Meena! It sounds delicious.... Stuffed Parathas with yogurt and pickle are yummy!

I have had Paneer Paratha only once at a Potluck in Pune. The old lady who made that, stuffed it with fresh paneer and lotsa coriander leaves and very finely grated green chillies and a bit of salt. It was so fresh and full of flavors in every bite. Your recipe seems so delicious that I remembered the other time I had paneer paratha :)

Sailu: Me too Sailu! Its always a treat.

Nika: Hi Nika! Thanks a lot for all the compliments. You should definitely give it a try. Like I've always said, Indian food is infact very easy to make, it just seems exotic.

Once you can cook for yourself, you won't need to drive 50 miles to enjoy good Indian flavours. Do give it a try and let me know how it goes.

Ashwini: I especially love the lime and mango pickles, sooooo good!!

man, these are so scrumptious! I have a hard time not eating these when I go to an indian restaurant and getting so full I cant eat anything else!

Your blog kills me because it gives me a serious hankering for Indian food and I live like 50 miles (seriously) from the nearest Indian food restaurant. We also have nut allergies in our family so it is always hard to eat our at an Indian food place now because of fear of cashews, etc.

Maybe I will try this recipe and see if I can do it justice!

Nika
