Meena.. i also love to see leftover rice in my fridge. I make myself a quick snack of 'lemon-rice' with it around 3.00p when the kids are having some quiet time.
Add a little oil to a hot pan, add mustard seeds, channa daal, dried whole red chillies, hingh and tumeric. For added deliciousness, add some raw peanuts and fry those for a couple of minutes in the tadka. Add lime juice (i like lots) and salt and then dump in the leftover rice. Yum. When I was studying in india, so many girls in my class would get this for lunch but my mom never made it.. I used to crave it and asked her to make it for me. She laughed and said 'here i am, making fresh roti - sabzi and you want leftover lemon rice!!'. ha!!

Yummy..and this really does sound super simple. I'll have to try to remember to make extra rice next time so I can test this out. =)

I love rice. Which aisle would I find the ginger-garlic paste. And if I can't find it, can I use fresh products instead. Thanks!

Priya: A buillion cube is a stock cube Priya, like maggi or knorr cubes. You get them at regular grocery stores in different flavours.

Sailu: Thanks a lot for your submission Sailu. I love Indo-chinese food, especially gobi manchurian! :o)
